Subject: The Aim of the event is to construct a working model of a Power Station, which will generate ELECTRICITY. Completely prepared model to be brought on 15th Sept'06.
"Since this is an innovative event, RULES of this event are flexible!"

A team shall comprise of maximum five members. |

Open to all Colleges & branches. |

Last date for registration for the event is 12st September 2006. * |

The whole set up should fit in an area of 3m x 3m x 3m. |
|
|
External Supply of Electricity is not allowed. |
|
|
Any type (Thermal/Hydro/Non-Conventional) of Power Station can be made by the participants. |
|
|
Source of prime mover is immaterial (e.g. Participants can use stove to boil water & generate steam), except animal or human power. |
|
|
Four hours will be given for setting of the model at venue. |
|
|
The team of judges will comprise of experience personals from Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Mechanical & Suzlon Energy Ltd. |
|
|
Decision of the judges will be final. |

|
JUDGING CRITERIA: |
1. Working Efficiency
2. Instrumentation & safety.
3.Supportive Paperwork & Presentation of MODEL.
4. The paper work should contain calculation regarding Energy Invested and corresponding throughput. Also step wise calculations to determine per unit cost of energy.
5. Participants should explain alterations that they made in the REGULAR model to improve the efficiency and per unit cost of energy.
6. Innovative ideas will be given more weightage.
